Imperium International Airport is one of the first airports to open in the country and was founded the same time as [[Drahen Airways]], with the goal of providing easy air transport for both the Imperial Family and government officials. It is the second largest airport in the country, after [[Traus International Airport]] and is a hub for [[Drahen Airways]], and is a focus city for [[JetGO]] and [[Orion Airlines]].
==History==
Imperium International Airport first opened in 1471 as the 1st airfield for the fledgling Drahen Royal Air Force and Imperial Air Mail Service. The airport was opened with a 300 meter long dirt runway and several corrugated hangars. With the creation of [[Drahen Airways]], then known as Drahen State Airline Administration, the airfield began to see non-military flights, transporting the royal family and government officials throughout Drahen. The first commercial flights took place in 1495 with the State Airline Administration to [[Traus]] with several stops in between.
