The Kom'rk is Raven System's pride, having only come out of prototype stages just over 6 years ago. The tank is capable of operating in a variety of environments but was designed for urban conflicts. The Vanguard can take multiple hits to the front and side from anti-tank weapons and survive. It has the latest generation composite armour; including high-hardness steel, tungsten and plastic filler with ceramic component, allowing the rear to maintain structural integrity in case of backside attack. The tank's frontal protection has been improved with a dual-kit on the turret and hull front, while 360° protection against RPGs and mine protection increase the survivability of the tank in urban operations. In addition to its main cannon, the tank is equipped with a standard LMG mount, a remote turret and carries 12 smoke grenades to assist in diversion and escape. It is led by a four man crew including a commander, driver, gunner, and loader. There are two models in the family, the L6 models include substantial changes, including an automated fire and explosion suppression system, an all-digital fire control system able to handle new ammunition types, and improved turret with flat titanium/tungsten armour.
