The Sentric Empire was a sprawling multi-ethnic political entity that developed from the High Kingdom of Lanlania in the late Antiquity Age and continued until its reformation into the Holy Lanlanian Empire in 1028. Originally little more than a second name for the Lanlanian state, it evolved into a conglomerate of sovereign states after the Geinic Revolutions in the late 1st century. Though in its age it called itself the Messanite Empire, modern historians have dubbed it the Sentric Empire, as Messanites in the east rejected it and the Messanite church in Azreae steadily evolved into the modern Sentric Church.

Willem I, High King of the Lanlanians, was crowned Emperor of the Sentrists in 5, which marked the birth of the empire. The title remained in the High Kingdom of Lanlania until 96, after various setbacks convinced the Aldes to name Rödinger I of the Geinish High Kingdom emperor. Consequently, the Aldes would often hear the advice of Sentrists rulers, though the next emperor was often decided behind closed doors by the Kaljin ev Aldeva.

After the crown first left Lanlanian hands, the Sentric Empire fell apart as a centralized body. Until Rödinger I, the Lanlanians had ruled the empire politically from Halvadag. After they lost the crown — which only really served to drive home their loss of their empire to the Geinic Revolutions — the empire had no central political authority. The title of emperor was largely nominally, with the countries that formed the Sentric world maintained nearly all sovereignty.

The empire can perhaps be best described as "an alliance that worked to defend and advance the Sentric faith." It came to an end when it was dissolved by Emperor Kayden II after the Avalsyanist Revolution fractured the Church.
