It has an area of nearly 410,000 kilometers and an estimated population of 60 million people, ranked 39th in the world.
Since its independence from the Holy Lanlanian Empire in 1550, Gabon has had two civil wars.
Gable is an impoverished country with a GDP per capita of less than 5,000. Its GDP of 288 billion is ranked 95th in the world.
