Caerwyn II (Rhys Soren Dylan; born 17) is the King of the United Kingdom and Supreme Governor of the Church of Hylis. He assumed the throne on 27 and was crowned on 23. His coronation was the first to be televised in the United Kingdom.

Caerwyn was born in Rasswitt and was educated privately. His grandfather, Gareth III died peacefully in 1512, passing the throne to his father, crowned Gareth IV, from which point Caerwyn became Crown Prince. He entered public light 1524, upon his sixteenth birthday, and married Queen Gwynneth seven years later in 1531. They have had four children: Sion, Alwyn, Elen, and Jeanne. He ascended the throne in early 1554, after his father's death in a boating accident.

Early Life

Caerwyn was born in 17, the first son of King Gareth IV, in the twilight years of his grandfather's reign. His mother, Queen Agnes, Princess of Lanlania, was the youngest daughter of Emperor Soren II of the Holy Lanlanian Empire. He was baptized on 24 by the Hylic Archbishop of Lythnne, Danyll Cosmo Reece in the private chapel of Barlyn Palace. He was named "Rhys" and "Soren" after his grandparents on his father and mother's side respectively, and "Dylan" after his godfather, his father's closest friend.

He has an elder sister and two younger brothers: Princess Crystin, Prince Daryl, and Prince Sion respectively. Crystin and Caerwyn were largely educated at home under their mother's supervision, though did serve three year at Milberry Academy and Kanbryn Academy respectively. Caerwyn's studies concentrated on history, language, literature, and leadership.

Caerwyn was described as a solemn boy, becoming of his position, with a love for sport and competition.

Post-Coming of Age

Caerwyn's coming of age ceremony was a well-publicized event held in the palace and was considering a success. Afterwards, he accompanied his mother and father on many public events, before eventually attending some alone in his later years. After graduating from Kanbryn Academy in 1526, Caerwyn embarked on an moderately-successful career as an officer in the Royal Air Force, eventually rising to the rank of Captain. He saw combat in the short Verlish-Koverian Border Conflict in 1546. He studied with the Academia in between active service, acquiring degrees in the fields of history, economics, and psychology before his father's untimely death in 1554.

Marriage and Family Life

Caerwyn met his wife Gwynneth, daughter of the Margrave of Wydlsing, while attending a charity event with his parents in 1524. The two were immediately attracted to one another—as was later noted by other attendants. They enjoyed a long-distance relationship, often calling one another and meeting during charity events, until their marriage in 1531, six months after her 21st birthday.

Their first son, Sion was born six years in 1537, followed shortly by Alwyn in 1540. Princesses Elen and Jeanne, twins, were born in 1550.
