Diodus Florona-Elolounos Theomata, or commonly known as Diodus II was the 9th and preceding Emperor of Octitania. Diodus was the Duke-Prince of Aetos before in 1537, he was elected Emperor by the House of Dukes. Diodus was the eldest child of former Duke Pericles IV and was one of the most popular figures of Octitanian politics during his reign as Duke.

In 1539, the Duke urged the House of Dukes to make radical reforms to the government and transportation systems. Due to the reluctance of the House of Dukes, the Emperor decreed a bill to set reforms in Government, particularly in the Judicial process, and most notably in Education. In 1541, he push the House of Dukes to reform the public transportation. After public outcry to improve infrastructure in the Empire, the Dukes eventually passed the bill in 1542. Diodus is noted to be passionate and ambitious about achieving openness. Despite his public support, Diodus has trouble pleasing the generals and military committee. Later, he would pass a military cut which would result in a coup attempt by the generals. Diodus ordered to execution of several military leaders and pardoned the head general. Some scholars point to the coup attempt as a sign of gradual destabilization due to the openness policy instated during his reign.

Diodus died in 1572 in the Imperial Palace in Polikhronon. He is called by some, "the Greatest and righteous Emperor in Octitanian history."
