Replacement of the IV-15 Aere began in 1563 and is scheduled for completion by 1571. The development of the vehicle was a joint venture of Kraus-Delhi and Vlakass+Vloss Heavy Industry. The Kampen is believed to be one of the best-protected IFVs, while still having a high power-to-weight ratio.
