Reiken Kazuto was born on 12 Septim 1492 and took the Imperial throne on 23 Ochtyr 1523 at the age of 31. Reiken Kazuto had no interest in becoming Emperor, and in fact had become a Sōto with a vow of celibacy. His dedication to Ryudo is what made his father, Emperor Reiken Ikage, select him as the heir prior to his passing. This choice was a surprise to all, as many expected the Emperor to select his brother Reiken Ichido, or perhaps his daughter Reiken Naomi since Kazuto had taken on the life of a Sōto. Due to this choice Kazuto had to surrender his vow of celibacy and find a wife. It wasn't until 1530 that he was married to a Dai'Majutsushi named Sabaku Ayano. During his reign Reiken Kazuto has focused on internal growth and development of the Imperial Republic as well as fighting against the growing threat of Ken'Ido with his official confirmation that it is a false path. The Eiyu Family have had their duties expanded to serving as the Emperors eyes and ears throughout the Empire in addition to being the Imperial Guards.

His eldest child in Princess Reiken Hikaru who was born in 1535, his second eldest Prince Reiken Ichiro was born in 1545, followed by Princesses Reiken Hanako and her twin sister Reiken Kumiko who were born in 1553 , and the youngest Prince Reiken Jorou who was born in 1570.
