Traus is a municipality, metropolis and global city located in Drahen. It is the most populuous city in Drahen, in East Skathia, and is one of the world's largest cities by population. The city is the anchor of the Traus metropolitan area, ranked as the most populous metropolitan area in Drahen, the largest in East Skathia, and one of the top ten in the world. Traus is the capital of the province of the same name, which is Drahen's most populous and wealthiest province. It exerts a strong influence in commerce, finance, arts and entertainment and a strong international influence.

Traus has the largest economy by GDP in Drahen and East Skathia. The city is home to the Imperial Drahen Stock exchange, located on Teflos Avenue, one of the top 10 largest stock exchanges in the world in market value. The metropolis is also home to several of the tallest buildings in Drahen including the Imperial Tower, the Ion Center

The city has significant cultural, economic and political influence both nationally and internationally. It is home to several important monuments, parks and museums such as the Drahen Memorial, the Amelanchier Park, Museum of Traus, Traus Museum of Art, and the Museum of the Mestran Language. The city holds high profile events, like the Traus Art Biennial, the Drahen Grand Prix, Traus Fashion Week and the ATP Drahen Open. It is also headquarters for several important companes such as: Drahen Airways and Imperium Aerospace

Traus is a cosmopolitan, melting pot city, home to the large Lanlanian, Mestran and Oslanburg diasporas. The city's Mestran motto, is Non ducor, duco, which translates as "I am not led, I lead." The city, , is known for its unreliable weather, the size of its helicopter fleet, its architecture, gastronomy, severe traffic congestion and skyscrapers. Drahen is expected to have the highest highest economic growth in the Drahen over the next ten years.
