The Nyköping Super Cup (Nyköpingeiska supercupen i fotboll) is an international tournament for national teams in women's association football hosted by the Nylander Football Association. Held annually in Nyköping and nearby Nylander towns, it is aimed to be the most prestigious non-official football events.

The Nyköping Super Cup, as an annual event featuring most of the the world's top women's football teams, has no parallel in the men's game, given that there are fewer professional women's leagues and thus fewer scheduling conflicts. It is played in early Vintyr.

The first Nyköping Super Cup was held in late 1600, which attracted some of the top ranked teams, along Nyland, including 1600 World Cup champions Saratov, Goldecia, Valland, or Brigidnan champions Keszaria. Taeunas, defeating Brigidnan champions Keszaria 2-0 in the final, became the first team to win the Nyköping Super Cup.

The organizers aim that the Nyköping Super Cup becomes the top international tournament outside of SIFA or continental tournaments. Nylander media has nicknamed it as the "Mini SIFa Women's World Cup".

Format

Since 1600, 12 teams were invited, divided into four groups of three teams. The teams first played round-robin within their pool. Then the placement round proceeded as follows:

  • 11th place match: 3rd best 4th placed team vs. 4th best 4th placed team
  • 9th place match: best 4th placed team vs. 2nd best 4th placed team
  • 7th place match: 3st best 2rd placed team vs. 4th best 3rd placed team
  • 5th place match: 1st best 2nd placed team vs. 2nd best 2nd placed team
  • 3rd place match: Semifinalist 1 vs. Semifinalist 2
  • Final: Winner Semifinal 1 vs. Winner Semifinal 2

If teams are tied on points, finishing positions will be determined by the following tie-breaking criteria in the following order:

  • number of points obtained in the matches among the teams in question
  • goal difference in all the group matches
  • number of goals scored in all the group matches
  • fair-play ranking in all the group matches
  • SIFA ranking
